DESCRIPTION:Step into nature this World Rivers Day and discover how you can
  protect the rivers that sustain life. This free event at Osprey House is 
 your chance to connect with local experts\, explore the Pine Rivers Catchm
 ent\, and be inspired to act.\n\nRivers are the lifeblood of our planet. T
 hey carry stories\, support wildlife\, and provide us with fresh water. Ou
 r rivers face growing pressure\, both here and across the world. The Pine 
 Rivers Catchment is no exception. At this workshop\, you'll hear from Dan 
 Pagotto\, Operations Manager at Pine Rivers Catchment Association. Dan has
  worked on projects that bring people together to restore and care for wat
 erways. His talk will show you how every person can play a role in conserv
 ation.\n\nAfter the talk\, follow the boardwalks out into the catchment. T
 ake in the sights and sounds of the wetlands as you walk over the water. A
 long the way\, Bob Crudgington\, from Redcliffe Environment Forum and Envi
 roEd\, will share stories of the river and its wildlife. Hear about the ch
 allenges our waterways face and discover what's being done to protect them
 .\n\nThis workshop is designed for adults who want to deepen their underst
 anding of rivers and the role we play in their care. Come along\, celebrat
 e World Rivers Day\, and leave with fresh ideas to help protect these vita
 l life sources.
