Catchment Care is a Pine Rivers Catchment Association initiative that aims to empower the local community to make a hands-on effort to protect and enhance habitat and biodiversity within the Pine Rivers Catchment. Catchment Care volunteers perform habitat restoration activities at a number of sites around the catchment such as Four Mile Creek, Vores Road (Whiteside), Gold Scrub (Gold Scrub Lane, Samsonvale), Petrie, Lee’s Crossing (Dayboro) and John Bray Park (Bray Park/Strathpine). Catchment Care activities include the maintenance of invasive weeds and small revegetation projects.
These groups are managed by PRCA, with volunteer kits provided to them through grant funding from the City of Moreton Bay.
